DESCRIPTION:Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura is a great Krishna conscious spiritual master in the line of succession coming from Lord Caitanya. Although employed as a government magistrate\, Srila Bhaktivinoda worked tirelessly to establish the teachings of Lord Caitanya in India\, where\, unfortunately\, the people had come to neglect the principles of devotional service to the Supreme Lord\, Krishna. He envisioned a worldwide Krishna consciousness movement and prayed to the Lord for a son to to help him achieve his dream. Eventually\, a son was born to Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura and he was named Bimala Prasad who later on came to be known as Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur became the spiritual master of Srila Prabhupada (Founder Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness – ISKCON).
