Sri Krishna Janmashtami marks the appearance day of Lord Krishna. It is celebrated in great pomp at Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir, Bon Accueil and at all ISKCON Centers around Mauritius.

The celebrations start as early as 4.30 a.m with Mangal Arati. Darshan doors close at 5 a.m. Then at 7.30 a.m, a grand Darshan of Their Lordships Sri Sri Krishna Balaram, is given to all present. The altar is splendidly decorated with flowers and Sri Sri Krishna Balaram look oustanding in Their new outfits bedecked with jewels.
