Every Sunday from 3 p.m to 4.30 p.m, Gurukul kids are taught the philosophy of Krishna consciousness through story-telling, narratives, devotional songs, dramas, etc. The kids are taught verses from Bhagavad-Gītā, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and other scriptures. They also actively participate in events such as Krishna Janmashtami, Harinam, Ratha Yatra amongst others.
In February 2024 on the auspicious appearance day of Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur (Spiritual Master of Srila Prabhupada), essay writing competitions and drawing competitions were held for Gurukul kids of different age groups at Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir.
The children were all given a certificate of participation. The best drawings and the best essays (of different age groups) were rewarded through first prize, second prize and third prize gifts/tokens.
The highest goal of life for any living entity is pure devotion to Lord Kṛṣṇa, which annihilates all inauspiciousness.
